It’s a great movie when you’re still thinking about it a week later. Last week, I saw “Citizen Kane” on the big screen. And, I’m still thinking about the characters and themes.

The theme of the movie, it seems to me, was that Kane started out idealistic; but, over the passage of time, became increasingly self-focused.

“Boogie Nights”, starring Burt Reynolds, Mark Walhberg, Julianne Moore, and Heather Graham, is a 1997 movie set in the 1970′s golden age of porn.

As  shown in the film, before the days of VHS tapes, porn was less accessible and, thus, more valuable.

And so, those were the words of the lovely Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman) as she finds herself in Rick’s in the 1942 classic, Casablanca.

Movie aficionados also know that Rick (Humphrey Bogart) never said “Play it again, Sam.”

He said, “You played it for her. You can play it for me. If she can stand it, I can. Play it.”
